Main Street Martial Arts offers its students the ability to learn and grow in their mastery of their martial arts skill level under the instruction and supervision of such qualified individuals as:

Master Lance Meltzer, IMPACT instructor
8th Degree Kenpo

Master Lance has owned and operated Main Street Martial Arts since 1998 to bring a quality martial arts studio to the Kids and adults of Napa. Creating an ego-free studio with qualified and principled instructors that are here to serve and teach students in a safe and fun environment.

Lance earned his 8th Degree Black Belt in Kenpo, as well as a certified senior instructor in Jeet Kune Do, Haganah, Israeli tactical knife fighting & ground survival.

In 1999 they started Napa’s first transported after school karate program. Over the years, Main Street Martial Arts has made a huge difference in many children’s lives to have them be able to pursue martial arts in an after school program program. “We get them to classes, you pick them up after class is over.”

A retired Chiropractor, Lance and his wife, Darlene are the founders of Nature’s Way Montesorri in Napa. He teaches adult Integrated Fighting Systems/IMPACT. Lance has also been a lead facilitator for the Napa County Office of Education’s ROPES COURSE.

Beginning classes are Tuesday and Thursday 5:15-6:15 pm, Saturday 10-11 am


GM DOUG MEEKS, Senior IMPACT instructor

Grand Master Doug is Main Street Martial Arts’s Senior IFS-IMPACT instructor, and a Certified Master Instructor in Kenpo, Jeet Kune Do & Haganah.

When not instructing his students in martial arts at Main Street Martial Arts, you can find Doug instructing his students in math and science at Harvest Middle School.

Doug is a 10th Degree Black Belt and brings over 30 years of martial arts experience to Main Street Martial Arts. He is married, has 3 children, and earned his Bachelors degree in exercise physiology. He was previously a rehabilitation specialist for a pain clinic in Marin County for many years.


Master Nick Crist
6th Degree TKD

Master Nick brings decades of martial arts and tournament experience to Main Street Martial Arts. He has two sons whom are both junior black belts in martial arts.

Nick is a 6th Degree Black Belt and Main Street Martial Arts’s senior Tae Kwon Do instructor. His leadership has created scores of national qualifying athletes from Main Street.

He has also been a facilitator for team-building at the NCOE Ropes Course, and a former physical rehabilitation specialist.

Master Nick has been nominated numerous times for Role Model of the Year, by NEWS.

Adam Wamsley, Brown Belt BJJ, MMA Fighter/Belt Holder
Napa Fight Sports

Napa Fight Sports is a system of combining Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, American Wrestling and American Kickboxing together to create a very effective, competitive Art and Sport. Adam Wamsley is a highly decorated, competitive Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA athlete whose accolades are well know in Napa and all of California. He is very understanding of his students that are professionals, who want to enjoy the sort without injury or active competitions; beginners who want to learn the technical aspects of the arts and also students that want to work towards getting in the ring to compete in BJJ or MMA.

Once again, you will find an atmosphere of camaraderie and learning, rather than the ego driven nature of most competitive martial arts schools.

Classes are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7 – 9:30 pm

Aldo Hernandez                                                                 Wolf Pack Muay Thai & Combat Fitness

Aldo, and the whole Wolf Pack, invites you to join them for one heck of a workout and to learn the basics, and advanced techniques, of Muay Thai. Whether you just want to get in shape or into the ring, this is the place for everyone, Men, women and even for kids, who come in early to train. Once again…No attitude for safe and fun training!

Classes are Tuesday and Thursday 7:30-9:00, Saturday 11: 30-1:00

Chelsi Aguayo, Brown Belt BJJ                                                                          Youth Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Instructor

Chelsi bring many years of BJJ training to class to teach kids how to protect themselves on the ground and in any situation.  BJJ is a great adjunct to the TKD training and kids can do both at a discount.

Classes are on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-4:30 pm. Kids can try it for a week for only $30 and receive a free uniform/gi.
